Prices and Bookings
Lightwood has been invited to host the investiture of Hrolf Herjolfssen and Madelaine de Bourgogne as baron and baroness of Ynys Fawr, on the weekend of the 20th and 21st of October 2012. Here are the prices and booking details.
Due to changes in the SCA’s insurance, all non-members attending an SCA event must pay a fee of $5 per head. This applies to everyone regardless of age, even children. The fee is remitted to our insurer and is inclusive of GST. We apologise for the inconvenience.
|Insurance||$5 non-members only||Compulsory one-off payment, covers the entire weekend|
|Tourney and BBQ||$5 members, $7 non-members|
|Investiture||$25 members, $30 non-members|
|Children (under 12)||$1||Note: insurance fee applies to children too|
Bookings are now closed. To avoid giving our cooks conniptions, we capped feast attendance at eighty people. As of the 8th of October, we had our eighty. If you still want to come along, your only hope is to go onto our waiting list and hope someone else drops out. Note: advancing through assassination is not considered chivalrous unless the person who assassinate is superior to you in rank, and armed.
To get onto the waiting list and hopefully snag a place, contact the Steward, Baron Karl Faustus von Aachen (Eric TF Bat) at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 0407-468-244 between 10am and 8pm Hobart time. Be ready to tell him how many people you have in your party, including children and adults, and how many members and non-members. Remember that all non-members, both adults and children, must pay an insurance fee of $5 for the weekend regardless of how much they attend. You can take out or renew your membership at the Lochac website; use that page also to get free memberships for any dependent children of an adult member.
You can pay at the door or in advance. There is no penalty for paying at the door, although we will certainly turn away unbooked arrivals.
Direct Deposit is the best way to pay. The barony’s bank details are:
Account Number: 100142933
Account Name: The Society for Creative Anachronism Ltd – TAS
Please place your mundane name in the reference and send a copy of the payment details through to our reeve, Elspeth Jamieson (Julie Lawler), at email@example.com, as well as all relevant details to the steward.
