The Canton will be holding a potluck feast at the Geeveston Community Hall, Brady St, from 6pm on Saturday August 25th.
Saint Genesius is the patron saint of actors, clowns, comedians, comics… and lawyers! Who better to inspire a pot-luck feast in Lightwood? Come along, bring garb and feasting gear plus a dish to share. While you’re at it, why not come up with a suitably medieval joke or riddle in honour of the day: a prize may or may not be given for a particularly impressive example. A paltry $5 will get you in the door (plus the compulsory $5 non-member insurance levy, if applicable). Need help with any of the details? Contact the Steward, Karl Faustus von Aachen.
Are you new and want to know more about how to attend a pot-luck feast? You can read this blog post. Although it refers to a specific event from a few years back and some of the details aren’t relevant to this venue, it will still give you a good overview. If you need to borrow garb for the event, talk to the steward and he will point you in the right direction.
If you can’t make the 25th of August, there is another pot-luck happening on October 6th. More details will be posted closer to the event, but add the date to your diary now!
